Topic:  Integrating the Risk Management Framework (RMF) into Project Management


Topic Description:  David Fuqua will provide an overview of the Risk Management Framework as defined by NIST and highlight the interfaces into Project Management.  This includes high level overviews of the NIST framework described in FIPS 199 and mutliple NIST documents including SP 800-53/SP 800-30/ SP 800-37.  Understanding the Risk Management approach when undertaking a project yields higher success. 


About the Speaker:


David Fuqua, MBA, PMP, CISSP, is the Chief Operations Officer at RNT Professional Services.  David is a veteran of the US Air Force. Having served 20 years in the Air Force Rescue and Special Operations aviation community, he has a keen insight for working in small and large groups as well as a task-oriented outlook. He understands the importance of continuous and dependable communications in all business environments. Following retirement, he spent three years as a clinical professor of entrepreneurship at Oklahoma State University. He has an exceptional understanding of financial and business operations with a special emphasis on budget analysis and cybersecurity controls.

Any person or organization not affiliated with PMI OKC may not use, copy, alter or modify PMI OKC photographs, graphics, videography or other, similar reproductions or recordings without the advance written permission of an authorized designee from PMI OKC.
