News & Updates: PMI OKC Habitat for Humanity Work Day!
News & Updates victor.carneiro writes "Sign up now to be a part of PMI OKC Habitat for Humanity work day!

For those of you that participated last year, what an experience we had building a house in a day. We all learned a little about sheetrocking and had fun meeting and mingling with other PM's. We have another opportunity coming up on Saturday, February 27th.

We will be scheduled to work at one of their two development housing additions: Hope Crossing or Las Rosas here in OKC.  The work day will start at 9:00 AM and be finished by 3:00 PM. The likely options for job assignments fall into four categories: Framing, drywalling, painting, and landscaping.  Framing seems to be the most fun for volunteers and if we can recruit a group of at least 30, we will most likely be framing.
This is a perfect opportunity to meet other Project Managers and network, network, network. Also, bring your family along to help. They must be 16yrs or older to work.  More details to come. Contact Scott Woodbury to sign up at scottwoodbury@att.com.

These roles are tasked with determining how the organization handles and "manages the management" of projects. While this includes project management methodology and practice standards, it expands to include prioritization and governance of projects as well as realizing and measuring the benefits that projects bring to the entire organization.

Key-result areas
• Overall responsibility for planning, directing and coordinating activities pertaining to technology and business-unit (BU) projects, on an Enterprise level.
• Ensure that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives.
• Responsible for managing the team that develops and carries out internal IT and BU projects.
• Is familiar with and monitors all major (IT and BU) project activities, ensuring the currency, quality and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and "look and feel" across the enterprise.
